Recently, in Suzhou "yisujia" town, another famous calligrapher and seal Carver has been welcomed. He is the originator of ink, color and gold, member of China Calligrapher Association, vice chairman of China Coal Mine Calligrapher Association, tutor of Academy of fine arts of Tsinghua University and President of 19 printing society, Mr. Ma Ming. When I first met Mr. Ma, he came back from painting in Shizilin. When I came in, he brought me a bottle of mineral water. He was a very amiable uncle artist. Before, we talked by phone, so the interview went straight to the subject. Mr. Ma Ming said: "I know that you are going to interview today. Last night, I wrote a short passage about my feelings on Pingjiang road and sent it to you. If you think it's good, you can use it. If it's not good, you can delete it according to your needs." Mr. Ma is modest. I choose the original excerpt "Stroll along Pingjiang Road, stay at Yixiu's home, taste the taste of Daogu and Suwei, take a look at Suzhou Museum, walk around the shops run by scholars, taste the special snacks, and stroll around the old houses of the water town. Only when you get down, can you breathe with Pingjiang road.

 

 

 

Pingjiang road is good for mountains, water and environment, as well as the place where Suzhou's calligraphy and painting masters have lived. Maybe this small bridge, flowing water, and the Southern Water rhyme of whitewall and Daiwa are too suitable for the elegance of literati. Over the past 800 years, great changes have taken place in other parts of Suzhou. Pingjiang road is the only one that has kept the parallel pattern of streets, lanes and river systems. What has settled down is not only time, but also culture, as well as the coexistence of refined and popular.

 

 

 

How beautiful is life if it's just like the first time you see it? I like it as soon as I hear it. In May 2016, I came to Pingjiang road at the invitation of my friend. I saw the night view of Pingjiang road for the first time, such as a beautiful picture of Pingjiang road. I was shocked by it, and immediately fell in love with her. I had a desire to draw Pingjiang road. Therefore, I decided to stay in "yisujia" and set up my own art studio "Minglu" and creation base of women's 19 printing house (Suzhou). After that, I held "women's 19 printing house seal cutting Tour" and "Ma Ming calligraphy and painting printing national tour (Suzhou station)". I also personally carved "clove workshop" and "Liuru" giant plaques for tourists to watch. Since then, Pingjiang road has become our most grounded place The creative source of Qi. "

 

 

 

From this passage, we can feel Ma Ming's deep love for yisujia town and traditional Chinese culture. Mr. Ma likes to write and draw since childhood. Influenced by his mother's paper-cut art, he has grown up an indelible art cell. Over the years, Mr. Ma still sticks to his own art path. In his early years, he was taught by Yan shougu, a famous contemporary calligraphy and seal family. In 1994, he was admitted to Wang Yong's studio of the Central Academy of fine arts, where he studied calligraphy, painting and seal cutting. Later, he studied in the Department of traditional Chinese painting of the Central Academy of fine arts, Beijing Academy of painting and the Academy of fine arts of Tsinghua University.

 

 

 

I asked Mr. Ma curiously how he has persisted in the road of art to the present? Mr. Ma mentioned his family, teachers, friends and leaders. It's because they give a lot of support and help to Mr. Ma's study that he can have time and energy to concentrate on art.

 

 

 

Seeing young people who like or have loved art at present, they lose their dreams for various reasons. In this regard, I would also like to invite Mr. Ma Ming as an elder to give some suggestions to young people.

 

 

 

"Learning art is never easy, but it's also a wonderful thing for us. It can give you a very special experience, from which you can get a sense of achievement and pleasure," he said. But many young calligraphy and painting enthusiasts are confused because they are busy with their work and don't have time to practice or create. In fact, for art, they can take it as a lifelong pursuit as well as a supplement and promotion to their own work. Time is squeezed out a little bit. Most artists use other people's time to create games, entertainment news and TV plays 。 Just like setting fire with firewood, firewood is easy to be ignited as long as there is a fire. However, to keep the firewood burning, we need to add firewood. Only in this way can we keep adding grass and firewood to make the fire burn. "
